I get this question frequently: “Do you know why if you let go of the handle bars under 30 mph my ‘Wing has a bad wobble?”
Early ‘Wings and most other bikes of this vintage don’t have any inherent wobble tendencies and they are rarely ridden at the “limit” where handling anomalies are magnified.
My Grandfather changed the oil in his car once a month. He greased the chassis lube points on the same frequency. He always said that oil and grease were cheap insurance compared to engine repairs. Grandpa was mainly right.

As I reported in the December, 2007 eNewsletter, the Supercharger Kit is on the road and performing very well.
For a variety of business reasons, I decided not to proceed to production.
This bike is now owned by a collector in Germany.
The actual symptom can vary…dim lights, no lights, occasional lights, some but not all lights. In any case, this should be resolved pronto for the obvious safety reasons.

Purpose:
Because the rear drive flange is mounted in a somewhat flexible fashion, this tightening sequence aligns this flange and keeps it from premature wear and unwanted friction. It also reduces unnecessary vibration and reduces rear brake squeal.

“A common failure with all GL1100s is the vacuum advance part of the pulse generator assembly. The units for the 1980 models use a higher advance angle than the unit for the 1981-1983 models.
